What the hell

I had an MRI a couple of weeks ago to see what was wrong with my shoulder. It has been bothering me since high school, but has always been diagnosed as a rotator cuff problem and then I am sent to PT. Well, my new doctor here decided to do an MRI on it to see what was really going on. First of all, I had to be drugged for the MRI because the machine wigged me out so badly. That was lots of fun. I finally talked to a nurse at the clinic today and he told me I have great cartilidge, but the MRI showed something called Parsons-Turner Syndrome. He used a bunch of words I didn't understand to tell me that what it does is affect the nerve bundles in my shoulder causing severe pain in my shoulder, arm, and chest. It explains my problems to a T. I even had to go to the ER over the summer with chest pain on the left side, same as my shoulder. Here is the funny thing. It is extremely rare. I can't find shit on it. Here is the one line I found:

Parsons-Turner Syndrome, which can be very painful and is not that common

Here are the latest updates on the Berthot Family

I have been really busy between Gymboree Play and Music teaching and I love it. I couldn't work for a more incrediable person that N. She is amazing at what she does and amazing as a friend. We have a good time together. The candle sells are going great. I did a massive craftshow about 2 weeks ago that did 1700 in sales. It was awesome! My one last weekend did about 550 and I had a party tonight and a party tomorrow night. Fun stuff here. Other than that I am just striving to be a good housewife and enjoy my son while he is still young.

M is doing well at work and seems to be there all the time now. He sat alert last week where he wasn't allowed to come home, which sucked, but we made it through. He is currently beginning to begin pre-pub where he starts training to go to Atlus for upgrade to Aircraft commander. Fun stuff. We are excited to head back there for a litte while and see friends.

And Bumps, where do I even start. He is talking in sentences which is scary. He just started sleeping in a big boy bed and we are trying to make it stick. He fell asleep on the floor tonight. Oh well. He is also potty training and doing as well as he can. He peed 5 times on the potty last night which was fun. He gets soooo excited about it. He is excited about Christmas this year too. . .so he better get spoiled by his family. I see what other grandmas and grandpas are buying. We have to show we have the best ones. :)

Updates

We are doing good here. Just trying to pass the time before M gets home. I wish it was this week, but we are not so lucky. We have finally recovered from constantly being sick only to be constantly on the go. Bumps and I finally had a down day today and just watched movies and cleaned the house. I hadn't done laundry in over two weeks, so it was piling up pretty good. We finally get Tank the pug sometime this week. I am shooting for Thursday, but we have to wait and see what the airlines say. I guess it is all up to them. I am really hoping that he arrives safely and blends in with our family well. In otherwords, I am hoping that Faith doesn't rip his head off in the first five minutes. I think she is ready for a friend though. Hopefully next week at this time I am not so tired from training a puppy and a son who won't sleep that I am running on fumes!!! I will post some pics this week!

Here is our first official photo of the newest Berthot addition. . .Big Daddies Chief Tanker Berthot. Now if that isn't an AKC name, I don't know what is! We get him around Mark's birthday, so his daddy won't be here to see him for the first time!!! He is currently 4 weeks old and just learning how to eat dog food! And yes, the princess is well aware that something is going on, but she has also let us know that she needs a friend. So we are taking care of it for her.

12 hours. . .

We have 12 hours until daddy is home again. 12 looonnnggg hours. I hate how time just seems to go by so slowly when it comes to these things. He leaves again on Sept 11 and time is going to FLY up until that point. Then it is going to slow back down again. The good news is that we are finally, maybe getting some edge on getting the in-laws to maybe come up here. YEAH!!!! That would make the deployments so much easier to have family up here. And who knows, maybe I would decide to get pregnant again. Maybe. My dad is already jealous and it is still just an idea. . .

Yes, she is the coolest and cutest dog on the planet, we already know that. She is doing a good job of posing after spending a very long, hard day in the lake. Which, but the way, she decided to turn into superdog and jump in giving her mommy a slight heart attack. But she didn't drown and is safe and sound back at home now.

The latest habit. . .

Who knows where he gets this from. It all started with finding one of my sisters thongs (yes, it was clean) and has escalated from there. I swear he is going to end up hanging himself. . .

Prayers

We found out that my grandpa is not doing well. It has been a few days of ups and downs with him. He was just transferred to another hospital and we thought he was doing better. Apparently he crashed tonight and they had to do cpr on him. They just rushed him into emergency surgery for his heart and I am freaking out. There is nothing I can do and that sucks. And my husband isn't here which makes it worse. Please keep him in your prayers!

Been way to Long

This is the first time I have been able to access this since M left and we headed back to see family. Bumps is doing good and growing like a weed. He seems to learn new words everyday and also has many words that he says that we have no clue what he says. He is really enjoying time with his grandparents and is very spoiled. He is sitting with his Aunt S right now reading a book and just loving it. I guess since I never give him any love, anyone but me is a good thing. :) He did get very upset today since papa's boat wouldn't start and he couldn't take a ride. Poor bumps, so sad for him!!! I will be able to update now since I have figured out how to log into this. I had forgotten my username and password!
