Santa Cruise

I took the kids over to the Santa Cruise on Sunday night. Bumps had a great time and loved hearing Santa call his name since he was on the good list. I have informed him if his playroom isn't cleaned by Christmas Eve, he will go on the naughty list. He doesn't believe me for some reason. Dang that Santa for already telling him he is on the good list.

First Food!

Rooroo had cereal for the first time on Saturday night. She had not been sleeping well at all and so I decided that it was time to try cereal out. She ended up eating about a tsp of it and slept for 14 hours. So I think we solved her problem, at least I am praying we did. . .

First Snow of the Winter

Oh the first snow of the season. The snow that the weather forecasters said we were only going to get 7 in and you just know to hold onto you hats because they have no freaking idea what they are talking about. So almost 30" later we are snowed in. The city has set a record for most snowfall in a 24 hour period in history where we are located. Everything is shut down, hospitals, malls, roads. You can't even drive in a certain section unless you have chains on your wheels. It is unreal. I was so blessed to have a neighbor use his snowblower on my driver. Then I was blessed even more by having the plow drive by and put a huge burme at the end of my damn driveway. Then AFTER I shovel the giant burme, another plow comes by to take care of the ends of peoples driveways. Then yet another plow comes by and put ANOTHER DAMN BURME in front of my driveway. Which is now gone since another plow came by tonight and made it go away. Got all that??? School is cancelled tomorrow, so poor bumps is stuck at home with mommy again. At some point I need to get presents wrapped and it doesn't seem like that is going to happen anytime soon. Oh the woes of not having a husband at home.

It is amazing how fascinating toes are to a baby. Rooroo has finally discovered hers and she loves them. The minute I go to change her diaper, her legs fly up and she is trying to chew on her toes. Here are a few pics of it.

Attempted Christmas Card

Ahhh. . .the dreaded Christmas card picture session with an infant and a ham of a kid. Man I love them both, but they make things so difficult sometimes. Rooroo was mad from the start once I got her all dressed up. I think I have a tomboy in my future. She wasn't having the dress. Too bad for her that she has to wear it again on Christmas Eve. Then bumps decided he needed to wear antlers in half the pictures. Then rooroo threw a fit halfway through and I got the greatest picture of it. Finally get her to smile but not at me, at the dang dog. Oh well, the cards will fit us!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year even though big daddy wasn't home with us. We spent it with our friend L and our adopted family across the street, the M's. Everything was awesome until I busted my butt on the ice while holding rooroo and hurt my back pretty good. I whacked it on a rock and apparently knocked rooroo's leg also. A fact that I didn't discover until I was changing her yesterday. It about made me cry! I am guessing it is the first of many bruises!

RooRoo and the turkey

Thanksgiving came early for us this year since big daddy had to leave us to save the world again. He deep fried a turkey again and as you can tell, rooroo got a kick out of the turkey in the bag. Her little hand kept creeping over and creeping over to touch the turkey. Thank God there was a bag on it!!!
