Weekend O' Fun

We had the best weekend with W and L at Silver Mt. The rooms are incredible there and the waterpark is always so much fun. We love the fact you can get a drink and float on the lazy river. Friday we spent some family time at the waterpark and then chilled at the hotel that night. Sat we all went down to the waterpark for the day. The boys started drinking as soon as we got there. Naturally, they can't resist PBR in a bucket 5 for 10 dollars. I got rooroo down for her nap at the waterpark and she slept for a couple of hours. After she woke up, I started to drink. I remembered my giant goblet from the last trip and had them fill it up for L and I. That lead to a slight buzz and more drinking when I got back to the room at around 6ish. Big daddy and W were already feeling really good by then. Good enough that big daddy passed out while reading to bumps, just a short nap, but he still passed out.

Sometime around 10 or so I decide that L and I needed to go to the bar. So we walked over to the bar (adequatly named Noahs) and I decided to start doing shots. For those who know me, I don't do shots. I haven't done shots since college. The 2nd shot put both L and I under. I swear it was all vodka, a teeny tiny bit lemon. Then M showed up while W stayed with the sleeping kids (they were supposed to tag team, but I think M had sobered up enough he knew I needed to be watched.) We got home after having a blast singing and dancing and drinking and I attempted to sleep only to realize it wasn't going to happen. Thus hitting the trashcan later on. 1st time in 10 years, so I can't complain. I am allowed 1 drunken night in 10 years. We spent Sunday relaxing needless to say. Big daddy and bumps went tubing and had a great time spending time together and going down the hill. All in all it was a fabulous weekend and we can't wait to go back soon. Maybe eventually even buy a condo there in the future. We will see!

Too much waterpark fun for rooroo

So sweet when she is sleeping

Her hiney made a good holder for my ranch :P

And this is where my drinking started and continued until I ended up over a trashcan at 3am

Oh God, it has started, she is in love with W. Same look she gives Rob Pattison in Twilight and Harry Potter

Of course he tells me he wanted to ski, not tube when it is too late, but he looks cute in his goggles

How cute is bumps???

Sweet Potatoes

Daddy made it home safely and got to feed rooroo sweet potatoes for the first time when he got home. As you can tell, she wasn't thrilled. It has been almost 2 weeks and she is finally eating them now. I think the spoon is her favorite part of the meal!

Oh.hell.no

Shoving the spoon in on her own

Figuring out it isn't cereal on the other end

Waiting for daddy to feed her

Not to thrilled about the taste

My kids and the Jumparoo

I have pictures of both my kids doing this. I don't know what it is about the seat of the jumparoo, but they go nuts over it. Must be teething, that is what I am going to blame it on, and not that they are still hungry after all the food they eat in a day.

Rock Chalk Baby!

Here are a few pics of Rooroo sporting her favorite teams colors and gear! Bumps used to wear the same outfit when he was a baby, minus the bow. :P And her team won that day too. They must have known Rooroo was wearing her gear!!!

Strike a pose

Reflections

Another one bites the dust, another deployment that is. It has been a long, but fun 2 months. The thing that made it the hardest was watching my best friend move away within 1 week of losing my husband. Not only my best friend, but bumps best friend also. They miss each other so much and poor R thinks that bumps will be waiting for him when he finally gets to his new base. Even though we are going to try to get to that base, it most likely won't happen. Thank God for technology and webcams. There is nothing funnier than watching bumps and R on the webcam, pulling out their lightsabers and fighting. They are also very good at sitting and laughing at each other. It gives K her rooroo fix also, so that makes her happy. I am sure sometime in the next month, big daddy and B will drink a beer together on it.

Our hopes of leaving this base are starting to dwindle. Big daddy got home and promptly got called to the principals office. He was then told he is now an EP and an ADO in the squadron (I will explain on the phone dad). After the shock wore off, we both started to realize that means we are probably going to be here longer than we would like too. It is an awesome opportunity for him and I couldn't be more proud. We love it up here, but would like to have some family time sometime soon. I guess we will see what happens in the coming months.

The fun thing to come about it that we are planning a trip to Disneyworld sometime in the coming months and mom is being nice enough to come with to help with the kids. I am looking forward to seeing bumps and rooroo reactions. Bumps loved disneyland, so I am sure it will be the same for disneyworld. Rooroo is going to be the really interesting one. I think she will enjoy it. She will enjoy all the meme attention even more. I am very excited to buy her her first pair of pink mickey mouse ears. She will be beyond cute in them. And of course I can't wait to get pictures of the kids together with the different characters.

And the kids, oh the kids. Somehow we have been blessed with bumps being so in love with rooroo it is ridiculus. He was so great during this deployment when it came to helping out with her. We were even lucky enough to have R claim her as a sister also, so she has 2 big brothers now. It is a rare day right now for bumps to get jealous of rooroo. Even since big daddy came home, he doesn't show much of it. He wants to be around rooroo alot of the time, so he doesn't care that she is in our laps and so on. I was very worried about the jealousy and so on , but I haven't had to worry about it at all. He even brings her his toys to chew on. Seriously, what kid does that? But I am sure it will all change in the coming months. If it doesn't, I am just going to claim it is my awesome parenting skills. Yes, that's what it is. . .

Off to the mountains for the weekend with W and L! Will post pics when we get back or up there if I have a chance.

Mamma Mia

I have now learned that my son is slightly obsessed with ABBA. He LOVES the movie Mamma Mia. We got our new plasma installed today (you are gonna drool dad) and our blue-ray, so I told him we could go to Walmart and pick out a blue-ray for him. I am thinking he is going to pick Narnia or something like that. No, he picks Mamma Mia. Which cracked me up, but made me happy in the same token because I love the movie. The minute we walked in the door he was tearing it open and begging to put it in. He spent the whole movie dancing and singing and making rooroo laugh. She loved it even more when I got up and danced with him with her in my arms. Poor big daddy is going to come home and have to watch this movie over and over since it won't work in bumps playroom. Oh well, I think he will be ok with that. He was even singing when he went to bed tonight. Partially because he heard some of the songs coming from my laptop. Oh well. Here is a link to what he calls the "mommy and daddy" song now. Works for me! Oh and might I add that my friend E's daughter, K, happens to call me mamma mia because I was talking about it when we went out a couple of weeks ago. It is really cute coming out of her 2 year old mouth!

More Snow Pictures

Here are a few more pictures from our massive amounts of snow. It all actually melted the next day. We still have the mounds in the front, but they are melting. We better get one hell of a snow storm when big daddy gets home because I am so tired of having these massive amounts of snow when he is gone!!!!

Christmas

Yes, I am fully aware I have been bad at this again. What can I say, being a "single" parent to 2 kids leaves me extremely drained at night. Less than 2 weeks till big daddy is back with us though! Christmas was very hard this year. We missed waking up and having big daddy there with us. He got to watch the whole thing on the webcam, which was awesome. It made it a little easier. I think it made it easier on him too. And let me just say that bumps waited for 2 hours after waking up to open any presents just so daddy could watch him do everything. Talk about a good kid!!! Bumps and rooroo got so much again this year. I always say I am not going to go insane and it never works. Rooroo preferred the paper over anything, go figure. It was funny watching it go straight to her mouth. Bumps loved everything he got and Santa went Star Wars crazy, so that made him happy. Meme was here also, thank God. That lessoned the pain alot! I think she enjoyed watching her grandkids have Christmas too. And naturally my house looked like toys r us had thrown up all over it for 4 days after Christmas!!! Oh well, it was worth it!
