#3

M just left for deployment #3 a few minutes ago. I am actually handling better than I thought I would. I think that I have had so much time to mentally prepare for it that I was almost ready for it. That and the fact that you dread it for so long it is like a weight being lifted off your shoulders when they leave. Now we just have to plow through these 9 weeks and then have a great summer together!

New Bed

Sad

So here is my sad life tonight. I am not the biggest fan of American Idol in any way, shape, or form. M is, so I have been watching it with him and now I have started getting into it. Well, one of my favorite people went home tonight all because she sang Shania last night, who can't sing that well anyway, but people love her. I even told M and one of my friends that whoever sang Shania would go home tonight and I was so right. So now I am just going to be sad for about a day and get over it.

Deadliest Catch

WA-HOO!!! M's and my show is returning this year!!! Deadliest Catch is the cooliest show ever! If you have never seen it, you have to watch it. It will give you a whole new respect for the guys catching all that wonderful king crab that we eat!!!

Horrible Night

I had a craft show this weekend at one of the local highschools that M and I went to set up for tonight. We get to the craft show and had to wait for 20 minutes to get our booth and all that jazz. When we finally get to talk to someone, I find out the booth I was supposed to have is no longer mine. Apparently someone prepaid for it last year, yet they hadn't shown up for the show this year. But I can't have the booth since they had prepaid. So I am already super pissed off about that.

Well then M and I go back out to the car to go and get my candles. We get into the car and M notices that the armrest is up and asks me if I put it up and I said I didn't think so. Then I look in the backseat and notice one of my candle boxes is open and I ask him if he did that and he says no. Then I notice the big box of candles that I had purchased earlier that day wasn't there (300 in candles). I turn the other way and the window, where bumps seat is, has been completely busted out. There is glass everywhere. The took my box of candles, my Spokandle sign, a bag with a dry erase board and magazines, and ONE of my good shoes. ONE of them. M was livid and I was hysterical. We told the craft show people, who were awesome, and we called the police. Oh, you want to know what the police said do you? IT'S NOT A PRIORITY!!!!! Call back in the morning and file a report. Fucking assholes. I hate cops anyway and this just added to it.

So I am no longer doing a craft show this weekend and the insurance people are working on our claim. They are calling us in the morning. I am just so upset right now and there is nothing I can do about it!!!!!

Knossos

I am beyond jealous that he got to see these because we talked about it a lot in my art class during college and I really want to see them for myself. The only part of history that I like is the art, what can I say? And no, the guy in the pic is not M.

Ever wonder if any of the booms (the guys who control the refueling device) ever want to moon the guy in the other plane. I mean they are close enough that you can pick their boogers. Hmmm. . .makes you wonder. . .

TV Announcers

Last night M and I were flipping through college basketball games like we normally do and we came upon the UCONN/Notre Dame game. One of the players for UCONN happens to have the last name of Gay. So as we are watching a bit of this game, he makes a really good play. Then the announcer says "I really like how UCONN set up that Gay penetration." We about lost it. I mean, seriously, the poor guy probably didn't know that he was even saying it, but man oh man, that guys friends are never going to let him live that one down. I mean, we haven't stopped talking about it all day and we don't even know the guy. . .

Cell Phone

Bumps has always been obsessed with my cell phone, but now he has taken it to a whole new level. He has learned that it. . .plays music!!!! So now he grabs my cell phone and pretends to talk on it to his daddy and then M will actually call it. When the ringer starts playing (either the KU fight song or the Air Force fight song) he starts dancing in circles too it. When it stops, he just stops and looks at it like he is saying "what the heck just happened?" Then it starts up again and he is good to go, dancing in more circles, and then falling on his ass shortly there afterwards. . .

Chocolate Pudding

And this is why we no longer give bumps food that involves chocolate pudding. . .

Monkey

Bumps is officially a monkey. Maybe I should change the name of this to "Monkey's momma's blog." I seriously cannot keep him from climbing on anything. The kitchen table chairs are either pushed all the way in or turned over so he doesn't climb onto the table. That doesn't stop him though, he climbs up on the turned over chair. We have to turn the gate backwards because he climbs on that when it is up. The highchair, forget the restraints, he climbs right out of them. His new target is the computer chair. I switched the house around because I was tired of the clutter caused by the computer in the living room. It is now in our bedroom to keep bumps away from it. He now runs in and jumps in the chair and then makes noises until I come and spin him. Does he ever get dizzy, no, he just wants to be spun. So a word of caution to those we will be visiting soon, be afraid of the bumps monkey, be very afraid. . .

Bumps and His Shoes

My friend L's mom was nice enough to pick up a pair of Stride-Rites for bumps while they were 11.00 at the store she works at. For those who don't know, I paid $50 for bumps other pair of Stride-Rites that he has. They came in today. After bath time and putting on his diaper, bumps ran to the box, took the shoes out, and brought them to me saying "shoes." He climbed up in my lap wanting the shoes on. So I put them on and he ran around the house with just his diaper and his new shoes. He is too freaking cute sometimes!
