RooRoo and the turkey

Thanksgiving came early for us this year since big daddy had to leave us to save the world again. He deep fried a turkey again and as you can tell, rooroo got a kick out of the turkey in the bag. Her little hand kept creeping over and creeping over to touch the turkey. Thank God there was a bag on it!!!

You are making me sit in this chair again??

What is this silly looking thing?

Brother hamming it up for the camera

Ahhh. . .got it

What is this giant thing and why does it feel so funny?

Mmmmm

Just a couple of phots of Big Daddy trying out his meat grinder with his friend B. Those sirloin burgers were amazing too!!!!

Uncle L coming to visit

Uncle L came down and stayed with us for a week and the kids were soooo happy to have him here. Bumps was in heaven having someone to tell all his newfound Star Wars knowledge too. And rooroo, well, she just enjoyed having someone new to slobber on. We had a great time with him and were very grateful he came down to see us!!!

RooRoo and M

Ahhh, young friendship, soon to be seperated by a very big ocean. M is the daughter of our good friends that are here from Australia and moving back soon. She and rooroo are 1 month apart in age. They have met before, but this was the first time they were aware of each other. And leave it to rooroo to try to claw her eyes out in the first minute. Oh well. It really sucks that they are leaving because it would have been fun to see the girls get older together!!!

In her cutie dress that papa bought

Clawing the eyeball out

Little hands

How cute are they???

I think M is tired of the pictures

Bumbo

Bumbo is a fun little seat that we bought for rooroo to sit in. As you can tell, she was slightly fascinated by the middle part of the seat, which we often catch her eating. It is nice to have our full family at the table now when we eat. Even though poor rooroo has to watch us eat all this yummy food and all she gets is milk later on that night. Poor poor rooroo. . .I think she is happy though. :)

Addicted

I know I haven't posted in a week and I have a very good reason why. I am totally, utterly, ADDICTED to the Twilight series of books. Seriously, I can't stop reading. It has been a long time since I enjoyed a series this much. My mom kept telling me to read them, over and over and over, and I finally listened once I saw there was a movie coming out. I probably should have listened sooner, but at least all the books are out so I don't have to wait and wait for a new one to come out. These books really suck you in and don't let you go. I honestly don't think Harry Potter even sucked me in this bad. I am going to try to post some pics tomorrow, I promise. But as for now, I am off to read. . .

Halloween 08

Halloween was a great time this year. With the addition of rooroo to the family, we had daddy and bumps go out for awhile and then I took bumps for awhile. Rooroo got held by A most of the time and loved on. It was beautiful here for the first time in 4 years. So we sat outside to pass out the candy. It never does fail though that you have that 1 kid that you just want to punch. Big daddy had a kid actually whine because he only got 2 pieces of candy. Apparently this kid hasn't seen how big the base is and how many people live on it. Big daddy also told this kid he would take the 2 pieces back. He didn't like that too much. Then bumps and I caught some fabulous teenages dumping candy into their bags from someones bowl that was left out. Drive me insane. It just blows my mind how selfish that is. Even when I was a teen trick or treating I never even thought to do that. (that was totally for you mom and dad) But it is true. I never had any interest in taking more than I should have. But anywho, what you want are pics of the kiddos, so here you go:

What the heck happened to R the rat??? I swear Darth didn't do it.

Open up and give us candy dangit!!!!

Sucking up to the new squadron commander

Yes, they are cute, fully aware

Just for you dad

I know you don't watch SNL because you go to bed before dark, but big daddy and I thought of you and your love of Keith Olbermann the minute we watched this. It is hysterical and you are going to watch it whether you want too or not.

Smiles at brother

I LOVE watching my kids together. Tonight bumps decided to tell rooroo a story and her reaction to him was priceless. She coo'd and laughed and smiled at him for 30 min or so. It is so amazing to see her recognize him and look up to him. Bumps loves it when she smiles at him. And so do we.

This guy is so silly

Are you serious brother?

That is so funny

I can't believe that!

I love you so much brother

Pumpkin Carving

We carved our pumpkins last night and spent the whole time annoying bumps. We were mean enough to tell him we were scooping out his brains and that cut off our fingers and so on and so forth. That is what good parents do, right? Rooroo was fascinated for about 10 min and then decided she had better things to do, like cry. Bumps was kind enough to decide that he wanted a Darth Vadar pumpkin. So mommy had to freehand Darth Vadar and carve it. It looks like poo, but he is happy. It did take a couple of beers to get through it. Who knows what next year will bring.
Watching daddy chop the top off the pumpkin
Holy cow that is a big knife

Ok, starting to get bored

Go daddy go

3 months old!!!

Hard to believe that rooroo is already 3 months old! Our little girl is growing so fast. In the last month she has started smiling all the time, laughing at her brother, recognizes her parents and brother, and sleeps up to 12.5 hours a night! That last one has been very, very nice. She is turning into a severe thumb sucker. I am trying so hard to ward it off, but it isn't working. She hates the binkie and rips it out if she can. Uggg. . .I don't need another me. Oh well, I will take that over colic.

Mmm. . .thumb

She is actually making bird noises, you just can't hear them
